Quality Policy Statement

 

The General Chemical State Laboratory is accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation Counsil (ESYD) under the terms of the following International Standards:

  • ELOT EN ISO 17025 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”. The accredited laboratories of the General Chemical State Laboratories are covered by a fixed or flexible scope of accreditation.
  • ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17043 ‘Conformity assessment -General requirements for proficiency testing’
  • ELOT EN ISO 17020 ‘Conformity assessment - Requirements for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspection’

 

More specifically:

 

  • One (1) Organic Unit is accredited according to ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17043 as provider  of proficiency testing schemes for laboratory tests and covered by the Accreditation Certificate No 814.

  • Three (3) Organic Units with responsibility for  inspection are accredited according to ELOT EN ISO 17020 in the following fields:
  1. Inspection of Breweries  (production plants of beer and malt)
  2. Inspection of Distilleries 
  3. Inspection of enterprises involved in the production, packaging, storage or/and distribution of chemical products 
  4. Inspection of marine fuels as regards sulfur content  and they are covered by the multi-site Accreditation Certificate No 1060.
