Administrative appeals for agricultural aid measures and interventions

P3-70-1.7 Undertaken commitments of Action "10.1.04 Reduction of water pollution from agricultural activity" of the RDP 2014-2022

The objective of Action 10.1.04 "Reduction of water pollution from agricultural activity" is to reduce water pollution both from nitrate ions and from other potentially polluting inputs (phosphate ions, plant protection products). The action will be implemented in 30 areas that have been designated as vulnerable to nitrate pollution of agricultural origin.
The beneficiaries undertake to implement one or more of the following commitments:  a) Fallowing (set-aside), b) Crop rotation, c) Green manure in tree crops, d) Buffer zone on land parcels adjacent to surface waters

P3-70-1.3.2 "Implementation of the mating disruption method for insect crop pests (COMFUSIO)" of the CAP STRATEGIC PLAN 2023-2027 – Undertaken commitments of Measure 10 RDP 2014-2022 – Action 10.1.08 "Implementation of the microlepidoptera mating disruption method (COMFUSIO)" of Measure 10 "Agri-environmental and climate measures" of the Rural Development Programme of Greece (RDP) 2014-2022"

Objective of the Intervention: The objective of Intervention P3-70-1.3.2 "Implementation of the mating disruption method for insect crop pests (COMFUSIO)" is the adoption of alternative plant protection methods aiming to reduce the use of chemical formulations by providing aid to farmers for their adoption. The action is applied to selected arable and tree crops and is complementary to action P1-31.6 - Support to producers for the implementation of environmentally friendly management practices using a digital input management and monitoring application.

Objective of the Action: The objective of Action 10.1.08 "Implementation of the microlepidoptera mating disruption method (COMFUSIO)" is the gradual substitution of chemical control with the insect mating disruption method. In this way, the mating of the main pests (codling moth, anarsia, leafroller) is disrupted, harmful caterpillars are reduced, and biodiversity and water resources are protected.

Scope of Application: It concerns peach, nectarine, apricot, apple, pear, and quince tree crops throughout the entire territory, actively contributing to the enhancement of agricultural ecosystems (including Natura 2000 areas).

P3-70.1.5 "Conservation of endangered indigenous breeds of farm animals"

Intervention P3-70.1.5 "Conservation of endangered indigenous breeds of farm animals" aims to support livestock breeders who rear endangered indigenous breeds of farm animals and to prevent genetic erosion, abandonment, and extinction of rare Greek breeds of farm animals.
The financial support is provided to livestock breeders who rear rare Greek breeds of farm animals. The aid compensates for the loss of income resulting from their lower yields, preventing their abandonment and extinction.

P3-70.2.1 "Aid for conversion to organic practices and methods of Regulation (EU) 2021/2115 of the Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan (CAP SP) for the period 2023-2027" - Undertaken commitments of Measure 11 RDP 2014-2022 "Organic Farming"

Intervention P3-70.2.1 concerns the CAP SP 2023-2027 programme for "Aid for conversion to organic practices and production methods". It is addressed exclusively to new entrant farmers and livestock breeders, aiming to protect the environment and reduce the environmental footprint.

Objectives of the Intervention:
•    To offer public goods that contribute to environmental protection and animal welfare.
•    Support under Measure 11 "Organic Farming" is provided for the conversion to or maintenance of organic farming practices in order to encourage farmers to participate in such schemes, thus responding to society's demand for the use of environmentally friendly agricultural practices.
The climate, soils, diversity, and historical development of skills in Greek agriculture are favorable for the development of organic farming.
