The Joint Ministerial Decision No. Α. 1197/30-12-2025 (Β΄7113) (Government Gazette B’ 7113) has been issued, by which Joint Decision No. A.1176/5-12-2024 is amended.
The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (IAPR), in pursuit of its objective to combat fuel smuggling and to ensure the monitoring of fuels throughout the entire supply chain, through this amendment grants an extension of the transitional period provided under Joint Ministerial Decision A.1176/2024 (Government Gazette B’ 6827), in order to secure its full implementation and, above all, the smooth functioning of the market.
- More specifically, this decision grants an extension of the transitional period for full adaptation to the “new” inflow–outflow monitoring system, providing for implementation deadlines up to 31 March 2025 for the Regions of Attica and Thessaloniki, and up to 30 June 2025 for the rest of Greece.
- Scope of application: The scope of the Joint Ministerial Decision covers operators of fuel and energy service stations, licensed retail heating oil traders, installers of inflow–outflow systems, software developers, accredited bodies for the calibration of fuel storage tanks, the IAPR, as well as any public authority responsible for overseeing the operation of the inflow–outflow fuel monitoring system.
- Purpose of the decision: The purpose of the decision is to extend the transitional period, so as to ensure the smooth and complete adaptation to the new specifications of the inflow–outflow monitoring system, as defined in Joint Ministerial Decision A.1176/2024.
