Description: This Act is a pre-requisite for the significant decrease of the arrival of citizens and businesses in Tax Offices, the extension of alternative ways for service providing and modelling, re-design and simplification of their operation processes. Through the deliverables of the study, AADE will have all necessary tools for the radical reorganization of the operation of Tax Offices in order to ensure:

a) the fast and effective provision of services to taxpayers by remote presence or physical presence if required and  b) the modernization of their way of operating by significantly decreasing bureaucracy.

Moreover, beyond Tax Offices, the act will affect the way of operation of all Departments of the Tax Administration (Tax Regions, Special Decentralized Departments – Center for Debt Collection, Audit Authority for Taxpayers with Great Wealth, Audit Authority for Large Enterprises, ΕΜΕΙΣ, Auditing Centers and the Central Authorities.

 

Purposes:

  • Suggestion/proposal for the increase of the number of electronic tax services provided for citizens and businesses
  • Suggestion/proposal for the increase of the number of Tax Office processes which are now processed by electronic means only.
  • Decrease of AADE operational Costs

Expected benefits: the act will lead to modernization primarily of Tax Offices and secondly of the whole tax administration, significantly increasing its productive operation before taxpayers but also the Authority employees.

 

Beneficiaries:

  • Taxpayers – approximately 8.500.000 natural persons, 600.000 legal persons and other entities
  • Approximately 11.800 officials of AADE personnel
