Saving is a category of Special Regimes which includes the Customs Saving and the Free Zones regime.
- The Customs Savings regime allows the import and stay/storage of non-EU commodities in customs and controlled areas designated under specific terms and conditions, for an unlimited period of time, with suspension of payment of duties and other charges.
- The Free Zones regime refers to customs-controlled parts of the customs territory of the Union, clearly separated from it, where the following enter: a) non-EU commodities with suspension of payment of duties, taxes and other charges as well as b) EU and domestic goods with the purpose of benefiting from specific benefits provided by the European and National legislation.
